Kathryn Bauer is currently an Interaction Designer at JWT (J. Walter Thompson), in the Experience Group. She has defined the user experience on mobile and social media initiatives for clients such as Macy's and Cadbury Adams..

Before coming to JWT, Kathryn worked at R/GA (voted by Adweek as Digital Agency of the Decade in 2009) as the lead interaction designer on Nike Running. She also focused in mobile and new business, creating winning pitches for clients such as Hewlett Packard. She also created the interaction design for Johnson & Johnson's Mobile Birth Announcements, the first of its kind, which won the mobile James E. Burke Award.

She has spoken at conferences and events on the topic of data tracking and healthstyle, including SXSW Interactive, Microsoft Design Expo, Mobilefest Brazil and the R/GA Interaction Design Offsite. Kathryn's work in data tracking and wearable devices has been showcased both in the US and internationally, on television, blogs and newspaper articles, including SBT News Channel, AtualĂ­ssima, Engadget, Wired and Popgadget. Kathryn is currently an Adjunct Professor of Multimedia at Manhattanville College.

Kathryn holds a Master's degree from New York University's Interactive Telecommunications Program, both a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the School of Art + Design at Purchase College, SUNY and a Bachelor's degree in New Media from Purchase College, SUNY.
